Hi everyone, welcome to the new IGDA Sydney website.
As most of you know, the IGDA is an organisation that strives to connect budding and experience game developers together into a tight-knit community. We do this in Sydney by providing gamers and game developers with monthly events promoting networking and collaboration and now, in addition to those events, we offer you a new website with new features.
The new IGDA website was built with the goal of providing a place for indie developers to network and collaborate on new projects. To help you to that we’ve added the following new features which you can access via the top menu.
New Features
Website/Forum Single Login – Once you’ve registered on the website or the forum, you’ll be able to use that login for both areas of the website.
Activity Streams – On the site you’ll now be able to post what you’re working on and get others interested in your projects. Head to your profile page and let people know what you’re doing.
Extended Profiles – You’ll now be able to fill out additional fields with your interests, skill and experience on your profile. If you have any other fields you’d like added, let us know on the forums.
Friend Connections – You’ll now be able to search through the members of the IGDA site and add people as friends.
Private Messaging – A private messaging system has been added to the site to let you communicate with your friends.
Extensible Groups – Have you started working together with people or maybe you have the same interests? You’ll now be able to create your own groups you you and your friends to join.
Discussion Forums – We’ve added a reworked forum for you and your friends to show off your work, chat with friends and get feedback from the community. You can check them out here.
We hope you like all the new features and if you come across something that doesn’t work, please let us know on the forums.
